With Appium Studio Community Edition, when I use the Recorder function and try to go through the app and then press Stop, the actions are not recorded. Why is that?

This sounds very odd, it could be can you please attach here your logs or send us the application under test?
i came across this issue.
solution : try by using mouse .dont touch your device physically and record. use mouse which helps you to record all your actions relate to your app.hope this helps.
